Cuthbert the Goose

Bonjour everybody!

It has been a very emotional time to say the least, the news went out there very fast after Chris announced the our lovely Cuthbert passed away. It looked to us that the world cried with us.

The amount of messages of support has been immense and we feel so lucky for every single one of you, every bit of support weather it is a message, a smile or donation to the project.

As an artist, Cuthbert was my first inspiration when I arrived at the farm, his personality was very pronounced and people who know me know that I like strong characters.

I am so grateful to have been able to know him, spend time with him, he was cheeky, funny, jealous, protective to Chris and Owen his wife... Yes Cuthbert and Owen were married!

Thank you Cuthbert for all the smiles that you brought to the world and getting us so creative, you are missed so much.

I have finally put together my favourite paintings of Cuthbert on posters and canvas print here

As Chris said, Cuthbert would want us to keep smiling, bringing joy and laughter as he used to do everyday so this is what we will be doing with some projects we are working on for the Christmas period as well as creating a special pond and picnic area where Cuthbert is now resting, and where our guests and volunteer could sit and take a break in this very special place. You can help as we will soon create a fund raiser for it.

Keep smiling and have a good week.

Caroline

Cuthbert will always be in my heart. He will be forever missed. He was the first animal I saw when I first tuned in for Rush Hour. Bless your hearts for making him happy and as comfortable as he could be in his final days. You and Chris are wonderful humans. God bless you. 💕
